In seeing the beauty of a word in writing, the symmetry
of a geometrical figure, the secrets of nature, we come to
love knowledge.
In loving knowledge, we desire to use it to create.
In school we see beauty; through beauty we come to
love; in loving, our human souls are instilled with the bril-
liance of a star, the light of creativity.

WE REMEMBER ALWAYS GRADUATION DAY on Wednesday, Moy 28, at Our Lady of Per-
petual Help Cathedral. The. Most Rev. Victor J. Reed, Bishop of Oklahoma presented our
diplomas. Now aware of our impending adulthood, we take our places in the world as future
artists.
Unlike the Divine Creator, wc must be given material
from which to create. Given this matter through learning,
we now possess the knowledge of truth and the love of beauty
from which we, Catholic students, must become creators
for the world.
Because all true art leads to God, thus making it easier
for the artist to reach his eternal destination, wc must lead
the world to the realization that... “the artist is not a special
kind of man, but every man is a special kind of artist."
(Coomaraswamy).
